Slim Shady

This is a print reproduction of my original coloured pencil portrait of one of rap musics greatest; Eminem, also known as Slim-Shady (real name Marshall Mathers). In keeping with my my series of deceased 90s rappers I have depicted Eminems alter ego Slim Shady who he killed off in his latest album "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)". Also working from poor quality reference this time I watched Eminems older music videos and movie to add not only detail but fine tune the facial expression to glean a slight element of sadness in his eyes and of course that offensive real Slim Shady vibe. Although the portrait appears as black and white I've actually used elements of colour within the undertones of the portrait in order to create a dynamic and lifelike effect whilst adding depth.
